The Crans-Montana Clinic, nestled in the heart of the Valais Alps, is a hospital site of HUG. Its hospital missions consist of caring for patients for rehabilitation in general internal and psychosomatic medicine, polyvalent post-operative or post-hospitalization rehabilitation in an acute setting. The Crans-Montana Clinic holds FMH recognition for general internal medicine and trains internal medicine doctors. It develops academic research projects in connection with the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Geneva.
Job description
At the Crans-Montana Clinic, community health care assistants work closely with nursing staff to support patients in daily care, which includes personal hygiene, feeding, mobilization, and comfort care. You develop and foster human relationships.
As an apprentice community health care assistant, you provide, under delegation and in collaboration with nursing staff, medical-technical acts such as medication administration, injections, and dressing application. You are also called upon to assess patients' pain levels.
In collaboration with the medical and nursing team, you manage emergency situations by detecting signs, issuing alerts, and ensuring the management of first aid measures with nursing or medical staff.
You support people in crisis situations by adopting an appropriate attitude.
You provide support to people suffering from somatic disorders by identifying their needs.
Managing care materials, cleaning and maintaining the patient’s environment, welcoming patients upon admission, etc., are also part of the ASSC skill profile.
The diversity of services provided and the demands of the hospital environment allow for a varied training path. To complement your training, we offer internal and external internships within the institution that allow you to discover other types of patient populations.
Qualifications
You will be 15 years old at the start of the apprenticeship and have successfully completed compulsory schooling.
You show interest in health and social fields.
You are a good listener who wants to understand others' needs and wishes to contribute to care teams. Sociable, you enjoy teamwork and communicate easily with your interlocutors.
Organization is one of your strengths and your analytical mind allows you to identify problems and find solutions.
You demonstrate exemplary hygiene and cleanliness.
You have an interest in the hospital environment and are ready to commit to a professional training alternating work in a company, practical courses, and theoretical lessons at school?
