In this role, you ensure the technical availability and continuous optimization of our automation systems as well as production and infrastructure facilities. You work with various technologies in a highly regulated environment and ensure compliance with all relevant cGxP and HSE guidelines – for smooth operation and reliable production at the Basel site (Global Clinical Supply Operations).

About the Role
Your tasks include, among others:
- End-to-end ownership of assigned automation systems and infrastructure including change/deviation management, documentation, maintenance, and stakeholder management.
- Ensuring maximum availability of building management systems, room monitoring, airlock controls, as well as network infrastructure and vertical integration for uninterrupted production.
- Leading investment projects: scope, schedule, budget, resources, risk and change management; role as SME in technically complex work packages.
- Development and implementation of a digitization roadmap for automation and production systems with clear business cases and measurable benefits.
- Introduction of scalable, cost-efficient digital solutions for process optimization including KPI definition and benefit tracking.
- Creation and management of the operating and project budget for automation systems; ongoing cost control, forecasting, and reporting.
- Continuous performance and risk management: fault analyses, root cause analyses, action plans, and lessons learned.
- Structured project communication and stakeholder management with production, quality, IT, and engineering; moderation of workshops and decision rounds.
- Ensuring cGxP and HSE compliance in operations, projects, and changes; maintenance of SOPs, qualification, and lifecycle documentation.
- Preparation, participation, and follow-up of internal and external audits; implementation of findings and sustainable effectiveness controls.
- Cost-efficient technical solutions within the area of responsibility.
What you bring to the position:
- Completed engineering degree in electrical, automation, or technical computer science (FH/HTL) or comparable qualification.
- About 10 years of experience in plant planning projects, software development, and automation projects.
- Proven project management experience with a focus on plant automation and/or vertical integration.
- Solid knowledge in handling building automation and monitoring systems.
- Familiarity with cGxP and HSE requirements in regulated production environments.
- Knowledge in commissioning and qualification within automation.
- Confident handling of network architectures, interfaces, and data integration.
- Strong analytical skills, structured working style, and strong communication skills.
- Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written.
