Head of Road Construction Department and Member of the Executive Board

The Cantonal Civil Engineering Office ensures the planning, construction, operation, and maintenance of the 750-kilometer-long cantonal road network. With your expertise and experience, you make an important contribution to the sustainable preservation of this road infrastructure.

The Civil Engineering Office is looking for a successor as of April 1, 2026 or by arrangement for a

• Overall personnel and financial responsibility and management of the department
• Leadership, coordination, and supervision of the planning and execution of new construction, expansion, and major maintenance projects (sia phases 3-5 / site management) including coordination and multi-year planning
• Financial responsibility for the department's road construction budget
• Active participation in the executive management of the Civil Engineering Office, leading corporate projects, and involvement in internal and external committees
• Further development of the Civil Engineering Office in strategic and operational terms

• Diploma in civil engineering (ETH / FH) or higher professional education, preferably with business management training
• Several years of experience in project management, site management, and leadership experience in a responsible position
• Committed personality with social skills and communication abilities
• Negotiation skills and understanding of complex contexts
• Entrepreneurial mindset combined with a strong service orientation
