EHS Engineer (m/f/d)
Help us shape a safe and sustainable future!
As an EHS Engineer (m/f/d), you are part of a dedicated EHS team. You take on a key role – but never work alone: In close collaboration with colleagues from EHS, line departments, and external partners, you ensure that safety, health, and the environment are consistently upheld.
Position:
- Responsibility & scope: At the heart of your role is the development and implementation of the site-specific EHS training strategy as well as coaching of managers and employees. In addition, you play a key role in target and measure tracking, risk monitoring (hazard assessments, inspections), and reporting. You ensure compliance with legal and internal requirements together with the team and specialist departments.
- Living safety: Together with the EHS team, you plan and conduct regular safety checks and safety dialogues, train employees and external companies, and organize effective Safety Days. You drive the activities while the team and managers support implementation in daily operations.
- Protecting health: You coordinate the handling of hazardous substances together with the responsible specialists, develop the first aid team, and ensure compliance with PPE requirements. You plan evacuation drills, ergonomics topics, and training, with execution carried out hand in hand with team members and interfaces.
- Shaping the environment: In coordination with production and engineering, you monitor waste, water, and energy processes, initiate reduction measures, and ensure compliance with relevant ISO standards and legal requirements. You coordinate – the team provides data, implements measures, and checks effectiveness.
In short: You are a driving force in the EHS area – with a strong focus on occupational safety – embedded in a high-performing team that takes responsibility together and achieves impact.
Requirements:
- Experience: You bring at least 6 years of relevant professional experience – including at least 3 years with concrete responsibility in EHS programs. You know how to not only accompany processes but actively shape them.
- Education and training: You have completed training in a STEM field and further education – e.g., through a Higher Technical School (HF), University of Applied Sciences (FH). Certificates or qualifications such as (SUVA, NEBOSH, Environmental Protection Officer, etc.). You are an expert in at least two EHS-relevant subject areas.
- Technical know-how: You are familiar with ISO standards (14001, 45001, 50001), environmental protection, energy management, and hazardous materials. Hazard assessments, training, and risk management are everyday for you – and you master them at a specialist level.
- Communication skills & team spirit: You are a true "people person" – you can convey knowledge understandably, inspire and engage others. You enjoy working in a team and actively contribute.
- Language skills: Ideally, you have very good German and English skills (B2).
What you can expect:
You can look forward to initiatives for well-being, flexible work models, development opportunities, and excellent additional benefits – including a unique family vacation policy.
