About the job
A contemporary European restaurant inspired by Portuguese culture and flavors in the heart of Luxembourg's business district. Bringing a touch of modernity to upscale classic recipes, this concept adds diversity to the table. This restaurant is located in a recently renovated international chain hotel with 260 rooms, the Novotel Luxembourg Kirchberg.
General Missions
• Contributes to the smooth running of service and customer satisfaction
• Prepares "hot" and/or "cold" dishes under the guidance of supervisors
• Participates in sending out dishes
• Complies with hygiene and food safety standards and procedures with Epack-Hygiene
• Contributes to the proper management of raw materials
• Knows and applies Heartist values daily (Feel Welcome, Feel Heartwarmed, Feel Incredible, I Belong)
Main Responsibilities
Activities and Tasks:
• Ensures the conformity of ordered goods and their optimal storage
• Communicates any risk of shortage to supervisors
• Ensures proper allergen tracking (menus, suggestions, banquet menus ...)
• Transmits necessary information to different hotel departments and team members
• Prepares and plates dishes within their section according to technical sheets and under supervisors' guidance
• Ensures presentation, quality, and correct temperature of dishes
• Sends out dishes respecting timing
• Participates in inventories
• Adapts organization and work pace according to customer flow
• Contributes to proper equipment management by avoiding breakage
• Cleans and tidies their workstation according to supervisors' instructions
Hygiene / Personal Safety / Environment
• Ensures cleanliness of workplace and food safety by daily respecting HACCP hygiene rules (E-pack Hygiene)
• Follows instructions for use and safety of equipment provided
• Ensures compliance with hotel safety instructions (fire ...)
• Respects commitments of the Environmental Charter (energy saving, recycling, waste sorting ...)
Significant experience in the field
Full-time 40h / week (without break / continuous service)
