Renovation of the Hergiswil Branch – Temporary Closure from November 3, 2025

"We continue to maintain our physical locations even in the digital age and are investing further in the future with the renovation. This creates a modern environment optimally tailored to the needs of our customers," explains Rico Weber, Head of Private and Corporate Clients and member of the Executive Board of NKB. Planned are a personally attended reception desk, a spacious 24-hour self-service area, and consultation rooms for individual and discreet conversations.

From Monday, November 3, 2025, until approximately the end of June 2026, the Hergiswil branch will remain closed. We ask for your understanding for any inconvenience caused. During the renovation period, our customers have various alternative options. For general counter transactions, the branches in Stansstad, the headquarters in Stans, or other NKB branches can be used. Deposits of notes and coins are also conveniently and easily possible there. For questions about e-banking, mobile banking app, or TWINT, customers can also use the Digital Banking consultation hours.

Cash deposits in Swiss francs as well as cash withdrawals in Swiss francs and euros remain possible around the clock at the ATM outside the Hergiswil branch. Access to the safe deposit boxes is granted by appointment (at 041 619 22 22) every Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The security mailbox/night safe can also be used without restriction during the renovation phase. Consultation meetings will be conducted by the Hergiswil branch team during this time at the headquarters in Stans or by arrangement at the customers' premises.

Hergiswil Branch under New Management from 2026

The redesign of the branch also involves a change in leadership: As of January 1, 2026, Annina Gisler will take over the management of the Hergiswil branch. She succeeds Mario Schaub, who has successfully led the branch since 2018 and has additionally been responsible for the Northern region with the locations Hergiswil, Stansstad, and Stans since 2023.

"With Annina Gisler, we have found a committed and well-connected successor from within our own ranks. She will shape and further develop the Hergiswil branch in its new appearance," says Rico Weber.

Mario Schaub is relocating his official workplace to the headquarters in Stans. There he will focus even more on the development of the entire region in the future – especially on the implementation of projects, acquisition of new customers, and promotion of employees. He will continue to be regularly present in Hergiswil and Stansstad to ensure direct exchange with the teams.
