Do you want to help shape culture and take on a responsible role with many opportunities for design? For this newly created position, we are looking for an empathetic leader who will joyfully establish our new office for the Association of Major Cultural Institutions and thereby contribute to the professional support of the delegates.
Your tasks
- In this strategic key role, you will build up the new office from the start, shape it significantly, and further develop it with a future-oriented leadership style.
- You will professionally and organizationally support the institutions affiliated with the association (including Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, Swiss Museum of Transport, Lucerne Art Society, Lucerne Theatre, Lucerne Festival).
- You will develop a lean, impact-oriented controlling system for performance agreements and especially the self-financing strategy, prepare quarterly and interim reports for the delegates, and inform about risks and corresponding recommendations for action.
- You will work closely with the specialist offices of the canton and city, especially in the areas of culture and finance, as well as with the management of the cultural institutions.
- In your role, you act as a versatile interface between national cultural institutions, the canton, and the city of Lucerne.
Your profile
- You have a university degree or an equivalent qualification (e.g., in business administration, public management, cultural management, or economics).
- You have several years of experience in leadership, staff, or controlling functions, preferably in the public sector, cultural institutions, or non-profit organizations.
- You possess solid knowledge in dealing with key figures, budgets, and financial reports and ideally have experience in developing controlling instruments.
- Analytical, structured, and independent work is among your strengths, as well as confident appearance and negotiation skills.
- You have a strong interest in cultural policy topics and enjoy working with diverse working groups.
