South Operations Manager
Technical Office / 80 - 100 % / Samedan
The Technical Office is responsible for the planning, construction, maintenance, and operation of cantonal roads, as well as for the implementation of hydraulic works and non-motorized traffic in Graubünden. In addition, we take care of the operational maintenance of national roads within the canton. The cantonal road infrastructure includes over 1450 structures, including bridges up to 90 meters high and tunnels up to 3 kilometers long. The challenges that the nature of our mountain canton hides in summer and winter make our work demanding and varied. As an office certified with the Friendly Work Space label, the health and satisfaction of our approximately 480 employees are particularly important to us. For the road maintenance section in district 3 Samedan, we are looking for as of July 1, 2026 or by agreement a South Operations Manager
- Technical and personnel management of the south operational maintenance team
- Planning and execution of operational maintenance of cantonal roads
- Planning interventions of the three maintenance groups with a total of about 20 employees, vehicles, and machinery in collaboration with three foremen directly subordinate to you
- Support to the construction sector with site management tasks for the building maintenance of cantonal roads
- On-call service as intervention leader and willingness to participate in avalanche service
- Master builder or foreman diploma
- Several years of experience in road construction or maintenance
- Leadership experience and entrepreneurial spirit
- Ability to assert yourself and initiative
- High degree of autonomy and sense of responsibility
- Good computer skills
- Perfect written expression skills in German
- Knowledge of Italian in spoken and written form, knowledge of Romansh is an advantage
