Head of Projects, QM and ICT (80-100%)
The Protection & Intervention Winterthur (SIW) area consists of three main departments and just over 70 employees. The main fire department includes a powerful professional and militia fire brigade with around 50 permanent employees and 130 militia members. The civil protection main department manages a large civil protection organization with around 500 conscripts, the Ohrbühl training center, as well as structural civil protection. For the staff main department, we are looking for a service-oriented personality who supports the chief of staff and the two operational main departments in cross-departmental methods, projects, and concepts, thereby creating optimal framework conditions for the success of Protection & Intervention Winterthur.Your Tasks
- Coordination and further development of the area-wide project portfolio as well as ensuring a uniform project methodology
- Professional management of quality management as well as further development of standards, processes, and templates
- Ensuring continuous status reporting and resource management including presentation of resource consumption to the management
- Support of project managers (methodology, planning, documentation) and occasional assumption of project management or deputy roles
- Coordination of ICT needs of staff, fire department, and civil protection as well as coordination with municipal ICT offices. Participation in the digitization of processes and specialist applications
Your Profile
- Advanced technical school (further training in project management, quality management, and computer science)
- Several years of experience in project management, ideally in public administration, a civil protection organization, or a technically oriented organization
- Strong organizational and analytical skills as well as ICT affinity
- Confident communication at all levels, target group-oriented preparation of complex topics
- Structured, solution-oriented working style, networked thinking, and high implementation strength
