Professor for Major Jazz Drums and Ensemble (40 – 60% with the option to split the position)

Your tasks:

You teach the major subject drums as well as thematic ensemble lessons
You supervise students in all stages of study and provide both individual and group lessons
You contribute your skills across disciplines and collaborate with the lecturers at the institute on the further development of teaching

Your profile:

You are an internationally recognized and well-networked artistic personality with excellent didactic skills and experience in higher education teaching
Within jazz, you are familiar with its traditions and currents as well as the latest developments, and you are open to other music styles and art forms
You have a style-defining profile within your field, are able to inspire students both for instrumental-technical and artistic-innovative work, and competently guide them
You have further trained in the field of higher education didactics or are willing to continue your training and understand the implementation of the performance mandate of universities of applied sciences as an exciting field of activity
