Construction Manager
Graubünden Civil Engineering Office, District 7 Thusis | 80-100% | Thusis
The Civil Engineering Office is responsible for the planning, construction, maintenance, and operation of the cantonal roads as well as hydraulic engineering and slow traffic in Graubünden. We also take care of the operational maintenance of the national roads within the canton. The canton’s road infrastructure includes over 1,450 engineering structures, including bridges at dizzying heights up to 90 meters and tunnels up to 3 kilometers long. The challenges posed by the nature of our mountain canton in summer and winter make our work demanding and diverse. We are looking for a Construction Manager for the Road Maintenance Department in District 7 Thusis from May 1, 2026 or by agreement.
- Management and supervision of assigned construction sites as client representative
- Scheduling and coordination of work
- Ensuring quality, scope, and execution of the entire contract work
- Preparation of cost estimates, tender documents, and billing
- Budget monitoring
- Performing technical tasks for road maintenance
- Providing on-call service as operations manager
- Completed vocational training in the construction industry
- Additional training as construction foreman, foreman, construction manager, or equivalent further education
- Several years of professional experience in road and civil engineering
- Practical experience in cost estimation
- Personality with assertiveness, organizational and negotiation skills, as well as teamwork ability
- Italian language skills are an advantage
