Head of Client Services 80 - 100%The Office for Informatics (AFI) is the IT competence center of the Canton of Zurich.
It provides comprehensive services in the area of central IT infrastructure and canton-wide applications for directorates, authorities, the judiciary, and independent institutions. Commissioned with the implementation of the new Information and Communication Technology (ICT) strategy, the office accompanies the canton into the digital world.
In the Client Services organization, the digital future of the Canton of Zurich in the area of digital workplace and peripherals is actively shaped.
To ensure continuity and further development of our Client Services organization, we are filling this leadership position anew. In this key role, you lead and develop an organization of over 20 employees, divided into several teams. You are responsible for the strategic direction, further development, and management of the Client Services organization and significantly shape the workplace strategy of the Canton of Zurich. In doing so, you confidently navigate between leadership, strategy, stakeholder management, and transformation.
What you achieve with us:
- Overall responsibility for the Client Services organization (technical, personnel, and organizational)
- Leadership, development, and empowerment of several teams and their leaders
- Strategic further development of client services and workplace services in the cantonal environment
- Active co-design and implementation of the canton-wide ICT strategy within your area of responsibility
- Close collaboration with department and office management as well as relevant stakeholders
- Management of budget, resources, and external service providers
- Ensuring stable, future-proof, and customer-oriented service delivery
What you bring:
- Higher education in the IT field (FH/University) or comparable qualification
- Several years of leadership experience in a comparable role with responsibility for larger organizational units
- Experience in the strategic management of IT services, ideally in infrastructure or workplace environments (client/Microsoft environment)
- Strong leadership skills, decisiveness, and strategic thinking ability
- Excellent communication skills and experience dealing with diverse stakeholders
- Very good German skills as well as good English skills
