Job Description
Reporting to the F&B Manager, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Lead all aspects of service to achieve the following objectives:
- Financial in terms of turnover and profit
- Qualitative in terms of customer service
- Control and analyze daily the following indicators:
- Turnover of sales outlets
- Labor cost
- Quality and presentation of F&B products
- Service standards
- Proper service maintenance in terms of tidiness, upkeep, and condition of furniture
- Customer satisfaction
- Team engagement and motivation
- Optimize revenue by regularly developing strategies, practices, and promotions with the Food & Beverage and Hotel management
- Ensure personal follow-up of customers and regular and resident guests of the hotel.
- Comply with hygiene and safety standards
- Ensure grooming standards of the teams
- Respect LQA standards
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships between different departments
- Plan teams according to hotel occupancy and activities
- Be in charge of various functions such as: recruitment, schedule management, colleague evaluation, coaching, colleague motivation, disciplinary actions to ensure good productivity and efficiency of colleagues
- Implement training within teams
- Participate in the development of menus and cards with the Chef and Food & Beverage management
- Conduct and lead daily "pre-shift" meetings and all other necessary meetings to achieve the best results
- Actively participate in service operations
- Assist Food & Beverage management in setting service objectives and developing service procedures and standards
- Control and keep the service equipment inventory up to date
- Stay informed about local competitors by comparing their operations
- Ensure inter-service and support department communication
- Manage beverage and consumable products
- Follow up on colleague engagement surveys
- Establish and monitor the restaurant's communication and marketing plan with the marketing team
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Required hotel training
- 3 to 5 years experience in a similar position
- Experience within an international hotel chain in an economic capital and/or abroad
- Team management
- Fluent in French and English
- Strong team management skills
- Ability to work with attention to detail, speed, and autonomy
- Organize and be able to delegate tasks while monitoring their progress
- Knowledge of hygiene and HACCP
- In-depth knowledge of food products, wines, and spirits
- Proficient with operational computer tools (Outlook, Office Suite, Micros, Opera)
- Flexible working hours

- Interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Particularly responsible and reliable
- Ability to work in a team
