What Awaits You
Your main task is to ensure that the regulatory external and internal requirements in the area of data protection are appropriately and efficiently implemented in the organization to minimize the risk of sanctions and fines by regulators and legislators.
In detail, you support the Operational Risk Management team in the area of data protection in the Swiss market unit (excluding bank) in operationally implementing and monitoring the external and internal data protection requirements.
Specific tasks include:
- As part of the data protection office at the Swiss location, you advise and support management and specialist departments within the Swiss market unit in the life and non-life sectors on data protection issues in close cooperation with the data protection officer.
- You are the registered data protection officer for the foundations.
- You are responsible for coordinating measures in the event of data protection incidents, ensuring effective risk minimization, and supporting the reporting of data protection incidents to supervisory authorities.
- You create data protection documentation and risk assessments (e.g., data protection impact assessments, processing records, data protection information).
- You support the legally compliant response to requests regarding data subject rights.
- You are responsible for conducting training and awareness measures on data protection.

Your professional qualifications:
- A completed law degree or a comparable education, ideally related to data protection
- Several years of experience in data protection within a financial institution, ideally in an insurance company with a focus on data protection
- Sound knowledge of data protection law
- Very good German and good English skills, both spoken and written
- Strong analytical and solution-oriented thinking
