Employee for Project Assessments in the Field of Nature and Landscape

To strengthen our Nature and Landscape Department, we are looking for the Office for Nature and Environment from January 1, 2026, or by arrangement, an employee for project assessments in the field of nature and landscape.
Your area of responsibility
- You are responsible within the Nature and Landscape Department for assessing construction projects and project-related plans for their compliance with federal and cantonal regulations for the protection of nature and landscape (NHG, KNHG).
- You prepare internal official statements on projects affecting NHG protection objects and participate in inspections and meetings where necessary.
- The field of activity includes exchange with private individuals, municipalities, other cantonal specialist offices, including internal offices, as well as at the professional level with the federal government within the framework of federal approval procedures.
- You support funding projects in the field of nature and landscape and assist in implementing the Graubünden Biodiversity Strategy, subject to time capacity.
What we expect from you
- The activity requires, on the one hand, sound scientific knowledge and, on the other hand, good knowledge of the legal framework and instruments in construction, planning, and environmental law, efficient task management, and good communication skills.
- You are accustomed to working with specialists and efficiently using their knowledge for your work.
- This exciting and varied work requires a scientific university of applied sciences or university degree with a focus on ecology (e.g., forestry engineering, physical geography, etc.) and good knowledge of the application of planning and environmental law (especially RPG and NHG) as well as several years of professional experience.
- General working language is German. Good knowledge of several cantonal languages is an advantage.
- You are characterized by good IT user skills as well as your team-oriented, resilient, and solution-oriented manner.
