Your tasks
- You organize, coordinate, and administer the markets and fairs of the City of Lucerne (permits, correspondence, changes/cancellations, invoicing as well as collection and dunning).
- You are present on-site from 6:00 a.m. during market and fair times (regularly one to two Saturday shifts per month; January to April – holiday replacements are organized).
- You ensure an orderly, safe, and high-quality market and fair operation.
- You implement political decisions, legal regulations, and official requirements (including the use of public space as well as safety and order regulations).
- You maintain and further develop the municipal market and fair system and ensure quality (concepts, new formats, process optimizations).
- You take over coordination at the interfaces between market participants, market visitors, municipal departments, and other stakeholders.
- You conduct on-site inspections and ensure compliance with permits, guidelines, and requirements.
- You support events in public spaces, especially with setup and dismantling as well as operational implementation.
Your profile
- You have completed vocational training with qualified further education, preferably in the commercial or service-oriented sector.
- You are resilient, customer-oriented, and a team player and enjoy dealing with different stakeholders.
- You are interested in traditions and developments in the market and fair sector as well as in public space.
- You bring high social competence, integrity, and a sense of responsibility.
- You present yourself confidently, communicate very well orally and in writing, and have assertiveness and negotiation skills – even in demanding situations.
- You are characterized by a structured and organized way of working, are ICT-savvy, and have very good application knowledge in Microsoft 365.
- You are willing to work flexible hours and occasional weekend shifts (especially in October and December).
- You hold a category B driving license.
