About the Position
As an Automation Technician (m/f/d) at Hitachi Energy, you are a valuable member of our team. You take responsibility for testing, wiring, and optimizing our gas-insulated switchgear. With your expertise, you ensure that our systems meet the highest quality and safety standards and can be reliably used worldwide.
What You Can Achieve
Performing functional tests on gas-insulated switchgear according to a defined test plan
Accompanying and conducting customer acceptance tests in English
Confidently reading and interpreting electrical schematics, technical drawings, and parts lists
Identifying and analyzing mechanical as well as electrical faults
Correcting wiring errors in control cabinets
Actively contributing to the optimization of measuring equipment and testing processes
Independently wiring assemblies and switching systems based on work documents (e.g., customer orders, electrical schematics, checklists, work instructions)
Willingness to work in a 2-shift system
What You Bring
Completed basic electrical training (e.g., Automation Technician EFZ or equivalent)
High reliability as well as careful and focused working style
Solid knowledge in reading and understanding electrical circuit diagrams, assembly drawings, and technical documentation
Experience in testing electrical machines and control cabinets is an advantage
Very good German skills as well as good English skills in spoken and written form
IT affinity and confident handling of measuring equipment and software tools for documentation
Structured and organized working style, even under time pressure
Strong quality and safety awareness
