Agricultural Employee Plantahof Crop Farming
Plantahof | 50-100% | Landquart
The Plantahof is a department within the Department of Economic Affairs and Social Affairs and the competence center for agricultural education and consulting in the canton of Graubünden. In addition to the agricultural vocational school, Plantahof offers various advanced courses, continuing education courses, and conferences and is responsible for comprehensive consulting and the dissemination of expertise for the benefit of Bündner agricultural and alpine farms and other groups involved in agricultural topics. For these purposes, it also operates its own experimental and estate farm at four different locations, including two farm shops. Finally, it has a conference center with a boarding school, lecture hall, and catering operation.
We are looking for an employee for the crop farming team in Landquart starting January 1, 2026, or by agreement. This team is responsible for crop farming at the main location (ÖLN, 60 ha) and in Ganda (organic, 20 ha) in Landquart. The position can be split between two people.
Your area of responsibility
- Perform all tasks in arable and forage farming on a versatile agricultural operation
- Independent work with agricultural machinery in arable and forage farming
- Maintenance of agricultural machinery and equipment as well as facilities
- Carrying out surrounding area work
- Support with other operational tasks as needed
What we expect from you
- Completed vocational training as a farmer
- In-depth knowledge of arable and forage farming and a strong interest in agricultural crops and forage production
- Independent work with agricultural machinery, flair for simple maintenance work on machines and equipment
- Driver's license category B with trailer test, possibly forklift license
- You can expect a varied position in a motivated team
- The general working language is German. Knowledge of another cantonal language is an advantage
