Working within the Information and Data Division (I&D) of IATA, this role will report to the Chief Information and Data Officer (CIDO), SVP Information and Data.
We are hiring an experienced Head Engagement and Innovation to support the I&D strategy and vision through the development and execution of a solid engagement and innovation capability. The role will include internal and regional coordination to support all I&D activities, initiatives and events, as well as continue to build new opportunities. In addition, the role with centralize internal I&D communications and align with Corporate Communications for all external communications. Finally, the role will also enhance the innovation roadmap as it relates to all Proof of Concepts (PoC’s) internally through seed funding as well as externally through the Data and Tech Strategic Partnership Programs
Engagement:
Create and lead a strategic engagement plan, that will support all I&D activities and initiatives.
Oversee all I&D Strategic Partnership Program areas.
Work with P&S on developing potential new opportunities.
Manage the PoC ideation processes, including alignment within IATA.
Build relationships with member airlines and partners to ensure all the correct members are participating in the right areas/activities.
Network with external stakeholders and develop a pool of contacts.
Recruit potential partners for all activities and as needed.
Manage the various I&D advocacy related activities on behalf of CIDO.
Direct management oversight of Senior Manager Data and Technology Programs
Innovation:
Manage the internal PoC process and delivery through the seed funding activities
Manage external PoC delivery through the Data and TechPoC SP Program and China Data and Tech PoC SP
Manage the backlog of innovation ideas across various stakeholders.
Communications:
Lead and execute the internal communications plan for the division.
Ensure active and transparent communication tools for all I&D to access.
Manage divisional external communication in coordination with Corporate Communications – including press releases, social media, etc.
Work with Marketing and Corporate Communications on various media opportunities, including promotional videos, stakeholder interviews, etc.
Manage all Media Day related requests for the division
Manage the various I&D briefing papers, agendas, and minutes. Organize face-to-face meetings and monthly calls.
Events / IATA Symposiums
Oversee the general management of the World Data Symposium (WDS), including the organization, content creation and structure.
Oversee the event communication and marketing in coordination with the P&S Event Team.
Recruit speakers and presenters as needed.
10+ years relevant experience in engagement, innovation, communications, and/or partnership management.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to think strategically and drive innovation.
Experience in managing Think Tanks, Proof of Concepts and/or design thinking
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure.
Travel Required: Y 5%
