The FSA achieves this goal by informing and advocating their interests to the public, advising and raising awareness, as well as promoting innovative technologies.
Following the retirement of the incumbent, we are looking for our consultation service in Sion, immediately or by arrangement, a
Rehabilitation Specialist in the Fields of Low Vision and Activities of Daily Living at 80% (m/f/d)
Your workplace is located in the center of the city of Sion. You also travel to the homes of our clients in French-speaking Valais. You work within a motivated and committed team of 8 people and support them in assisting the affected individuals.
Your Tasks
- You conduct low vision assessments
- You advise and inform about low vision aids as well as their distribution, instructions, and training in their use
- You provide advice on relevant adaptations aimed at improving the daily life of those affected
- You write reports and applications for assistance for low vision aids
- You participate in awareness and public relations events
- You collaborate interdisciplinarily with specialists, other FSA consultation services, specialized external services, as well as institutions and self-help organizations
Your Profile
- You have completed training in low vision or are an optician, optometrist, or occupational therapist and are willing to undergo training in low vision
- You have a sense of administration and organization, as well as good knowledge of computer tools
- You have great availability to work within an interdisciplinary team
- You distinguish yourself by an autonomous, structured, and solution-oriented working method
- You demonstrate an open and inclusive personality, endowed with strong social skills
- Your native language is French and ideally you have good knowledge of German
- The issue of visual impairment does not leave you indifferent and you can conceive integrating the interests of blind and visually impaired people into your professional daily life
- You hold a valid driving license
