What to expect
- In this role, you take responsibility for achieving budget targets (revenue and contribution margin) including ongoing controlling and active management of your area of responsibility
- Ensuring strategic and operational target achievement in the area of responsibility
- Independent support and further development of the assigned toy product assortment
- Conducting manufacturer and supplier negotiations as well as terms & annual discussions
- Evaluation and onboarding of new manufacturers and suppliers as well as ensuring optimal sourcing (BestBuy)
- Implementation of the pricing strategy across all sales channels
- Planning and implementation of marketing measures in close cooperation with the Category Marketing Manager
- Interface function between purchasing, sales, marketing, and accounting
- Close coordination with purchasing in implementing the procurement strategy and configuration settings for automated orders
- Analysis of market and industry trends and active use of new market opportunities
What you bring
- A completed basic education (e.g., commercial clerk) with business management further training in product management, marketing, or purchasing.
- At least 2–3 years of professional experience in product management
- Experience in e-commerce and with digital sales channels is an advantage
- Very structured and precise working style, as well as pronounced analytical skills
- Industry knowledge and passion for the world of toys & kidults products
- Strong growth mindset and high motivation to successfully further develop your assortment area
- Resilient and confident – even in hectic situations
- Fluent in German spoken and written, good knowledge of English
