Senior Physician with Interdisciplinary Focus on Sports and Exercise Medicine (SEMS)

Responsibilities

• Professional responsibility in specialist and sports medicine areas for diagnostic and therapeutic patient care in inpatient and outpatient settings
• Conducting specialist consultations and outpatient check-ups/clinics (including sports medical examinations and checkups)
• Medical representation of the treatment team inside and outside the clinic
• Professional leadership of assistant and hospital specialists within the team
• Close collaboration in the interdisciplinary team with all professional groups involved in rehabilitation
• Assistance with sports medicine projects, as well as possible sports medicine field assignments (team support)
• Commitment to the training and supervision of assistant doctors
• Participation in continuing education and the continuous professional development of the treatment team
• Involvement in the senior medical on-call service

Profile

• Completed specialist training in internal medicine, general internal medicine, rheumatology, or physical medicine and rehabilitation (or equivalent recognized title – MEBEKO recognition for foreign diploma)
• Mandatory additional qualification "Interdisciplinary Focus on Sports and Exercise Medicine (SEMS)"
• Several years of experience in sports medical diagnostics, exercise physiology, and functional rehabilitation
• Enjoyment of interdisciplinary teamwork and caring for patients from recreational and competitive sports
• High social competence, excellent communication skills, and a professional demeanor
• Flexibility, team spirit, and resilience
• Interest and experience in technical orthopedics as well as in the application of modern rehab and training methods
• Good IT skills (medical documentation, performance diagnostic systems)
• Fluent German in spoken and written form; foreign language skills are an advantage
