Manufacturing Operator

Hobson Prior is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to join a pharmaceutical production team on-site in Bern, Switzerland. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and processes for sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing. This is a mid-level position with an initial 6-month contract and the possibility of extension.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor machines used for bottle washing and crimping in sterile pharmaceutical production.
• Oversee and manage Filling Line V rooms.
• Perform maintenance, cleaning, and disinfection of equipment and facilities following standard procedures.
• Use electronic batch record (EBR) systems for operations.
• Conduct in-process checks (IPC) and end-product checks (EPK).
• Record and document all activities accurately in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Handle transport tasks using electric drawbar devices and hand pallet trucks.
• Perform general cleaning and tidying tasks as required.
• Work in shifts, including early (5:45 AM - 1:30 PM), late (1:00 PM - 11:00 PM), and other common shifts (e.g., 9:00 AM or 11:00 AM).

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Experience in operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
• Familiarity with SOPs, GMP guidelines, and documentation processes.
• Ability to work efficiently in a regulated environment.
• Comfortable with shift work and flexible schedules.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
