About the job
Your tasks- Competent advice to our guests as well as active sales and professional wine service in our food & beverage outlets
- Ensuring a consistently high quality standard throughout the beverage service
- Independent participation in the design, maintenance, and further development of the wine list
- Planning, selection, and purchase of wines in coordination with management and the F&B team
- Organization, administration, and inventory of the wine cellar
- Professional leadership, training, and promotion of the service team including conducting internal training sessions
- Development and further advancement of the sommelier function within the operation
Your profile
- Completed training in service (e.g., certified restaurant specialist or hotel management school) as well as further training as a sommelier
- Ability to independently design multi-course wine and beverage pairings
- Very good expertise in wine and sparkling wine as well as solid knowledge of spirits, coffee, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Strong storytelling skills: you know how to present wines and producers authentically and enthusiastically
- Host personality with a polished appearance and enjoyment of direct guest contact
- High quality and sense of responsibility
- Team-oriented, structured, and resilient working style
- Very good German skills as well as good English and French skills, Italian is an advantage
