Tasks and Responsibilities

Leadership, strategic development and expansion of the Rail Construction department in Northwestern Switzerland / Central Plateau
Active participation in shaping and implementing the strategy of the Infrastructure Business Unit Basel
Overall responsibility for managing and successfully executing demanding rail construction projects
Ensuring costs, quality, deadlines and project objectives
Building and maintaining sustainable relationships with clients, authorities, companies and project partners as well as confident negotiation leadership
Supporting existing clients, expanding the personal network and actively acquiring new projects and business areas
Identifying new market potentials as well as developing and establishing innovative services and solutions in the field of rail construction

Your Profile

Completed higher education as a civil engineer (ETH/FH) with at least 10 years of professional experience in rail construction
At least 5 years of leadership experience is an advantage, as well as a cooperative leadership style and the ability to motivate and develop employees purposefully
Very good knowledge of the rail construction sector and the relevant market environment in the German-speaking part of Switzerland
Sound knowledge of the applicable standards and regulations, especially SIA, SBB & rail construction guidelines as well as other relevant requirements
Strong analytical and entrepreneurial thinking as well as the ability to develop and successfully implement strategic goals
High leadership competence as well as pronounced communication, negotiation and organisational skills
Customer-oriented demeanour, entrepreneurial action and enjoyment in building long-term business relationships
Good English and French skills are an advantage
