Specifically, you take on the following tasks:

- Design & operate infrastructure: You design, deploy, and maintain infrastructures for customer projects in cloud and on-premises environments.

- Optimize with engineering teams: You work closely with software engineers to continuously improve system performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Establish best practices: You bring in and further develop best practices for reliability, observability, and incident management in customer projects.
- Take on on-call duties: You participate in on-call rotations to ensure smooth operation of critical systems.
HOW YOU SUCCEED
- Background: Completed studies in computer science, engineering, or a comparable technical field – or equivalent practical experience in a similar environment.
- Experience in SRE/DevOps environment: You bring 3+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering, ideally with direct customer focus and responsibility for productive systems.
- Infrastructure as Code: You work confidently with IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi and use them to build repeatable, scalable infrastructures.
- System & network know-how: You have solid Linux system administration skills and a good understanding of network concepts.
- Cloud expertise: You have experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure) as well as hybrid environments; relevant certifications are a plus.
- Automation & scripting: You master at least one scripting or automation language (e.g., Python, Bash, or Go) and use it purposefully to increase efficiency.
- CI/CD competence: You have practical experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines, e.g., with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Containers & orchestration: You are familiar with container technologies like Docker and have experience with orchestration solutions like Kubernetes.
- Observability: You are familiar with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK and use them to keep systems transparent and stable.
- Soft skills: You convince with strong communication skills, a willingness to shape, and a confident, customer-oriented demeanor – both internally and with customers.
- Languages: You have very good German skills in speaking and writing as well as good English skills.
