The Information Technology (IT) of the University of St.Gallen provides the IT infrastructure, end devices, applications, and cloud services and supports the employees and students of the university with IT-related questions in connection with teaching, research, and administration.
Your tasks
- Procurement, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Windows server systems
- Responsibility for monitoring systems, applications, and cloud services as well as alerting (design, operation, maintenance, further development)
- Co-responsibility for the backup and restore infrastructure, including cloud backup (design, operation, maintenance, further development)
- Responsibility for the operation and maintenance of the data center infrastructure (UPS/RCCMD, access systems, monitoring, etc.)
- Co-responsibility for the PKI and Tier 1 client infrastructure (design, operation, maintenance, further development)
Your profile
- Solid basic training in the field of Windows Server
- At least three years of professional experience as a system engineer
- Very good knowledge in scripting (PS)
- Good knowledge of backup concepts and backup software (Acronis, Veeam)
- Good knowledge in monitoring (PRTG)
- Very good German skills (spoken and written) as well as good English skills
- Balanced, communicative, and team-oriented personality
- High service commitment and customer orientation
- Very independent and flexible
- Willingness to continue education in the specialist field
- Openness to new technologies
