VF Corporation is looking for an exceptional Ops Excellence Lead, EMEA Inbound Logistics to join our team based in Stabio, Switzerland.

The position of Ops Excellence Lead, EMEA Inbound Logistics, reporting to the Senior Manager, EMEA Inbound logistics, is to ensure optimization and execution of inbound activities in VF’s Global Supply Chain.
This role will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and transformation as part of our VF EMEA business and will work closely with our DC teams, Global Sourcing, Origin logistics, Planning, Supply Chain and Brands across VF.
The role will be part of a team that drives daily oversight and execution of the movement of VF Finished Goods, working across multiple Logistics Service Providers ensuring best in class delivery against our agreed KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) – such as on-time delivery, detention & demurrage.
The Ops Excellence Lead, EMEA Inbound Logistics will support the Senior Manager, EMEA Inbound Logistics being a catalyst for a culture change on people's capabilities to embrace an E2E Supply Chain integration and continuous improvement mindset.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Actively contribute to the design and implementation of the comprehensive strategy for all inbound flows
- devise an optimal structure for service delivery to all destination DCs;
- strategies should include cost reduction initiatives,
- leveraging Logistics technology and visibility platform
- Actively contribute to the design and implementation of key transportation strategies for Ocean, Air, Freight, 3PL and all custom products
- Build and develop strategic partnerships with Global Sourcing, Global Logistics and Brand to meet overall brand/business needs by analyzing, developing, and implementing effective and efficient movement of products
- Prepare & lead EMEA Monthly Performance Reviews with carriers and 3PLs to elevate the strategic partnership and performance
- Lead regional and global projects. Support creation of detailed project plan to monitor and track progress. Perform risk management to minimize workstream/project risks. Responsible for timely & effective project communication including stakeholder and sponsor interactions, meeting management & reporting
- Accountable for projects financials, reporting and reconciliation
- Support the transformation in VF Supply Chain comprehending InLog & ESO process mapping and handover, development of cross-functional interfaces & routines and on-boarding of new resources.
- Utilize and where appropriate propose improvements for all logistics systems activities to properly support the digital platform to provide timely and accurate visibility to all functional teams including Sourcing, Customs, Finance, Fulfillment & Customer Service
- Strive to overcome challenges in optimizing KPI management and drive optimized product flow, efficient carrier network and timely flow of all import documents to yield desired on time performance by collaborating with all partners, Central Procurement & Origin teams from NORA, EMEA & APAC
- Responsible for establishing control-related standards and procedures for inbound logistics; includes managing our origin Logistics Data Analytics team to drive standardized process controls, reports & metrics.
- Lead the strategic resolution for our business practices enabling change and improved performance for transportation, factories, and logistics for the EMEA region.
- Serve as a dynamic and visible leader that positively impacts direction and vision for team and peers, attracts, retains, and develops team to elevate the professional knowledge and skills to support the business growth
- Be a role model for both Logistics and cross-functional partners, demonstrating ways to leverage logistics insights to drive improvement across the supply chain

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to influence leaders at all levels of the organization while approaching our business with a strategic mindset.
- Proven leadership experience in managing international logistics operations in air, ocean and 3PL environment Proven Project Management experience. Ability to demonstrate project management techniques through delivery of small projects and initiatives
- Minimum of 7 years experience in logistics or Supply Chain
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related area preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Strong analytical skills, organizational skills, and systems knowledge.
- Lean qualifications (six sigma or equivalent) will be a plus.
- Excellent Communication skills in English (writing and speaking) and computer skills.
