A PhD position is available in the Experimental Rheumatology laboratory headed by Prof. Diego Kyburz.
Your position
You will work on a project aiming at the discovery of biomarkers for autoimmune rheumatic diseases, focusing particularly on the analysis of extracellular vesicles derived from the synovial tissue of patients with chronic joint inflammation.
Your profile
- Highly motivated, well-organized, collaborative person
- Interest in translational research in the field of autoimmune diseases
- Master in life sciences/biology or related fields
- Fluent in English
- Expertise in common biochemical and molecular biology techniques, including ELISA, Western Blotting, qPCR
- Hands-on experience in cell biology, cell culturing of human primary cells, cellular read-out assays including flow cytometry analysis and transfection methods. Experience with extracellular vesicle isolation and characterization would be an advantage.
- Experience with bioinformatic approaches for RNA-Seq, miR-seq and proteomics data analysis
