Tasks:
- perform technical vehicle inspections to verify compliance with regulations and their safety, implementing necessary measures to standardize evaluation criteria, aiming to ensure fair and uniform treatment of inspected vehicles
- collaborate and support the CCVP managers and the technical-administrative collaborator during control and diagnostic activities
- support CCVP assistants during technical vehicle inspections
- ensure the correct application of legislative procedures related to technical inspections
- update technical sheets according to current regulations on control procedures and certify their correct implementation
- provide technical service information to all personnel employed at the CCVP
- guarantee alarm posts for burglary and fire, and intervene if necessary
- collaborate, upon request of superiors, with expert colleagues in traffic from Camorino
Requirements:
- Federal Certificate of Competence (AFC) as an automotive mechatronics technician or automotive maintenance mechanic or in another equivalent technical profession
- have practiced the profession for at least one year after completing apprenticeship
- have held a Swiss category B driving license for at least 3 years without compromising traffic safety through traffic violations
- hold a category C driving license or formally commit to obtaining it within one year of employment;
- communication skills with external users
- mediation and negotiation skills
- stress management skills
- good knowledge of Italian (conversation and writing) and good knowledge (written and spoken) of at least one other official language
- willingness to work inconvenient shifts
- at least 23 years old
- good general health, particularly absence of conditions that impair regular work performance for the position, physical constitution allowing shift and outdoor work
- good conduct: no prior record or behavior incompatible with the position
- only tattoos that do not express discriminatory or offensive messages are allowed, provided they are not located on the neck, nape, skull, face, and hands at the time of application
- Swiss nationality
- preferential requirements:
- residence in the region (Bellinzona area, Leventina, Riviera, and Blenio valleys) to ensure prompt intervention during alarm posts
- technical and in-depth knowledge of heavy vehicles
Special notes:
- candidates participating in the competition authorize the Cantonal Police to process all necessary data to verify the absence of records incompatible with the position
- selected candidates must obtain the traffic expert diploma by attending the designated courses (expenses borne by the Cantonal Administration) which will allow integration into the Expert role, classification 6
- the employment relationship will be converted into an appointment once the candidate holds both the traffic expert diploma and the category C driving license

Employment conditions:
- appointment or assignment: as provided by the Law on the Organization of State Employees and Teachers of March 15, 1995 (LORD) and the related Regulation. Any changes in law concerning salary and organization are explicitly reserved
- working hours: 42 hours per week (for a 100% employment relationship), flexible or according to service needs
