Your tasks
- Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and repairs on facility systems including compressed air, water cooling/chillers, hydraulic systems (plant-level), HVAC, boilers, pumps, and electrical distribution (up to assigned scope).
- Troubleshoot and respond rapidly to facility-related equipment failures that affect production; coordinate support from trades or contractors when required.
- Maintain plant utilities: compressed air, process water, cooling towers, filtration systems, and waste/chemical containment systems to meet production needs and environmental regulations.
- Support plant infrastructure projects: install, modify, and commission piping, conduit, valves, pumps, and small mechanical/electrical systems.
- Maintain facility buildings and grounds: doors, lighting, roofs, drains, floors, bay doors, dock equipment, fencing, and signage.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks and document work orders, parts used, and downtime in SAP; recommend spare parts and inventory levels.
- Assist with lean maintenance practices, 5S, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements (lockout/tagout, confined space, hazardous materials handling, spill response).
- Support EHS programs: safety inspections, corrective actions, emergency response support, and training as required.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors: scope of work, safety orientation, quality oversight, and timely completion.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to off-shift emergencies as needed.
Your profile
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, compressed air systems, cooling towers/chillers, pumps, and basic electrical distribution (up to 480V preferred).
- Mechanical skills: piping, valves, bearings, pumps, belts, hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Familiar with CMMS systems, reading mechanical/electrical schematics, and using diagnostic tools (multimeter, pressure gauges, vibration tools).
- Strong troubleshooting skills, ability to prioritize under pressure, and work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, work in confined spaces and hot/noisy environments typical of die-casting operations.
- Certifications preferred: OSHA 10 or 30, Forklift operator, Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, CPR/First Aid; any trade certifications a plus.
- Valid driver’s license; clean driving record preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical diploma or associate degree in electrical/mechanical/industrial maintenance or related field preferred.
- 3+ years facility, industrial, or manufacturing maintenance experience; experience in die-casting, foundry, or heavy manufacturing preferred.
