About the job
Located in the heart of Monaco, the Novotel Monte Carlo hotel (renovated in 2019) offers 218 spacious and air-conditioned rooms, the Azzurra Kitchen restaurant surrounding the pool, a Fitness area, 12 meeting rooms, and a Wojo coworking space. The hotel is only a few steps from the train station for easy train access.
Under the responsibility of the Food and Beverage Manager, you are in charge of the service offered to the client and the sale of food and drinks within the hotel.
Your tasks include:
- Ensuring quality service both in terms of service and customer reception
- Participating in setting up the point of sale as well as tidying and cleaning the premises and equipment
- Setting tables and seminar rooms
- Helping to set up service equipment
- Welcoming, guiding & advising the client in their choices
- Participating in setting up your dining area
- You may be required to take orders for the smooth running of the service
- Ensuring the delivery of dishes from the kitchen to the dining room and/or terrace and/or bar
- Clearing trays from rooms, used tables, and resetting cutlery
- Ensuring the distribution of room services, and collecting trays during floor rounds, distributing VIP gifts and delivering to rooms
- Ensuring the longevity of the equipment available at points of sale
- Ensuring the development of a consistently high-quality and reference service, satisfying customers with a spirit of constant alertness
- Knowing the food service offers of your points of sale as well as other hotel services
- Depending on needs and activity, you provide service in all hotel points of sale
- You are able to answer the phone and take a reservation, a room service order, or provide information
- At the end of each month, you will participate in the inventory
- Applying procedures and policies defined by the brand and the hotel
- Embodying the Heartist spirit in interactions with clients

- Hotel training desired
- Similar experience in an establishment of the same category required - experience within a Novotel establishment is a plus (knowledge of procedures and service standards)
- Fluent English, Italian desired
- Energy and enthusiasm, organization, versatility, and rigor are essential,
- Sense of welcome, service, and attention to detail,
- Excellent presentation and very good customer contact
Variable and rotating hours totaling 39 hours per week, without breaks
