The Operations division of the International department is looking, for an immediate start or a date to be agreed, for a West Africa Program Manager (80-100%).
Your field of activity
- Provide strategic and programmatic support to our country representatives within the framework of implementing the sub-regional program for West Africa
- Strengthen the National Societies in the region in the areas of implementing their strategies, providing quality services to target groups in need, and their role as auxiliaries to public authorities
- Maintain and develop relationships and networks with partner organizations in the sub-region
- Manage and control program finances and ensure their use in accordance with strategic objectives, promote the efficiency of coordination, budget planning, financing, planning and evaluation (PMER), and reporting
- Act as the privileged interlocutor between country representatives and Headquarters for internal issues related to the sub-region (marketing, fundraising, communication, reporting, audit and controlling, etc.)
Your profile
- Degree from a university of applied sciences in international cooperation, humanitarian affairs, political science, business economics, or a related field
- At least 5 years of professional experience in program coordination, development cooperation, or humanitarian aid, as well as international experience in development cooperation and/or humanitarian work
- In-depth knowledge of program management as well as monitoring, evaluation, and learning (PMEAL)
- Experience in financial management, budgeting, and multi-year planning
- Proven skills in communication, diplomacy, and intercultural relations, and experience managing decentralized teams
- Fluency in French, English, and German (minimum C1 level)
- Team spirit, stress resistance, and high availability
- Experience with the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement is an asset.
