The energy city of Ostermundigen, with over 18,000 inhabitants, is the fifth largest municipality in the canton of Bern. The Public Safety Department consists of the Resident Services, Police Inspectorate, as well as Civil and Population Protection offices. For the Police Inspectorate, we are looking for a police inspector 80-100% starting December 1, 2025, or by arrangement.
Time for a professional change?
You ensure safety in Ostermundigen in cooperation with your colleagues.
You are responsible for the hospitality industry and event permits.
You handle administrative tasks such as payment controls in the regulatory fines system and general correspondence.
You process applications related to construction sites and develop solution-oriented traffic concepts.
You occasionally perform fieldwork, such as official and enforcement assistance, parking control, and speed measurements.
You take turns with your colleagues to ensure on-call service.

Do you have basic police training or professional experience in public safety?
Are you a Swiss citizen?
Do you have solid knowledge in the field of public safety?
Do you have experience in traffic consulting?
Do you enjoy a varied activity with office work, field operations, and direct contact with customers and are you proficient with IT applications?
