We are looking for a food inspector for the Office for Food Safety and Animal Health starting immediately or by arrangement.

Your area of responsibility
- Enforcement of the federal food legislation in one of six control districts of Graubünden (Chur Rhine Valley, Prättigau, and Lenzerheide)
- Conducting inspections in food and consumer goods businesses
- Preparation of reports and orders
- Collection of official samples as part of investigation campaigns
- Contact with subordinate authorities
- Providing information regarding food law questions
What we expect from you
- Federal diploma for official food control or completed vocational training with three years of professional experience in the food sector or an equivalent higher vocational qualification as a prerequisite for obtaining the diploma
- Very good German skills in spoken and written form, knowledge of Italian is an advantage
- Communicative, convincing, resilient, independent, and well organized
- Physically fit to move in difficult terrain
- Experienced in using modern IT tools
- Category B driving license
