Food Inspector

Office for Food Safety and Animal Health | 80-100% | Chur

Safe food from the stable to the plate - this is the guiding principle of our office.

We are looking for a food inspector for the Office for Food Safety and Animal Health starting immediately or by arrangement.

Your area of responsibility

Enforcement of the federal food legislation in one of six control districts of Graubünden (Chur Rhine Valley, Prättigau, and Lenzerheide)
Conducting inspections in food and consumer goods businesses
Preparation of reports and orders
Collection of official samples as part of investigation campaigns
Contact with subordinate authorities
Providing information regarding food law questions

What we expect from you

Federal diploma for official food control or completed vocational training with three years of professional experience in the food sector or an equivalent higher vocational qualification as a prerequisite for obtaining the diploma
Very good German skills in spoken and written form, knowledge of Italian is an advantage
Communicative, convincing, resilient, independent, and well organized
Physically fit to move in difficult terrain
Experienced in using modern IT tools
Category B driving license
