Correctional Services and Reintegration (JuWe) is part of the Directorate of Justice and the Interior of the Canton of Zurich and is responsible for penal and measure enforcement as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For our 1,400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of offenders and the prevention of recidivism are of particular importance.

The newly established Medical Service department ensures the medical-somatic basic care for incarcerated persons in all correctional institutions of the Canton of Zurich. As a central organizational unit, it guarantees harmonized and high-quality healthcare according to the equivalence principle and works closely with the Psychiatric-Psychological Service and the JuWe institutions.

The department operates as an outpatient medical institution and Spitex institution with the corresponding health police authorization and ensures the billing of medical and non-medical services under the mandatory health insurance.

The special feature of this position: You take on a dual management role in personal union - 90% management of outpatient practice coordination and 10% nursing management of the Spitex institution. This unique combination reflects the actual service delivery and ensures optimal integration of both areas.

This is your field of activity

• You are a member of the executive management of the Medical Service department and bear personal responsibility for outpatient practice coordination (90%) and nursing Spitex management (10%) in all enforcement institutions
• You coordinate healthcare professionals, medical practice coordinators and practice assistants at all locations as well as the nursing staff of the Spitex institution
• You design a modern outpatient coordination system and a Spitex quality management system according to health police requirements
• You strategically lead personnel deployment planning for both areas and have professional authority over non-medical healthcare personnel

This is what you bring

• You have completed training as a certified nursing professional HF/FH as well as a Master in Nursing Science or a comparable management qualification at Master level.
• You hold a valid professional practice license as a nursing professional in the Canton of Zurich (mandatory for Spitex management) and have at least two years of professional experience as a certified nursing professional HF/FH
• Your at least 10 years of professional experience, including 5 years in a leadership position, ideally with experience in outpatient coordination AND in Spitex organization, distinguish you
• You bring solid experience with outpatient billing systems, practice coordination and Spitex organization
• You have profound knowledge in quality management and change management and bring experience with practice information systems
• You have proven leadership experience and pronounced leadership skills
• Strong communication skills, strategic thinking ability, high social competence, de-escalation skills and a willingness to innovate complete your profile
