Job Description
ICBC Zurich is seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to lead and grow a portfolio of Swiss and multinational corporate clients. The role requires strong deal origination capability, leadership in credit due diligence and transaction structuring, and full accountability for portfolio performance, risk management, and regulatory compliance, in a cross-border banking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact, building long-term relationships with clients through a deep understanding of clients’ business models, industries, and financial needs.
- Drive strategic client planning and identify high-quality clients and business opportunities, aligned with the Bank’s risk appetite and business strategy.
- Increase client wallet share through strategic cross-selling of lending, trade finance, cash management, FX and other corporate banking products by coordinating product partners.
- Prepare client pitch materials, proposals, and financial solutions tailored to client requirements.
- Take the lead in credit due diligence and transaction structuring, including financial analysis, risk assessment, and appropriate credit projections, and present transactions to the Credit Risk Committee for approval.
- Lead term sheet negotiation and transaction execution, ensuring commercial competitiveness and risk discipline.
- Coordinate end-to-end execution of transactions, working closely with internal stakeholders, such as legal, operation, risk management, and compliance team in the Branch.
- Monitor post-transaction client performance, covenant compliance, AML/KYC obligations, assuming full ownership of credit quality and ongoing portfolio performance.
- Achieve annual target allocated by the Department and maximize the bank-wide revenues through cross-selling.
- Implement internal policies and procedures, as well as other work assigned by the Department.
Required Skills, Experiences and Qualifications:
- Bachelor/Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or other related fields;
- At least five years of experience in large corporate banking and/or structured credit business;
- Strong analytical skills and good knowledge of credit risk control;
- Proven understanding of the Swiss regulatory environment for banking products and business;
- High motivation, commitment and ability to act independently;
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks;
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multi-cultural environment and foster a culture of cooperation and knowledge sharing;
- Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and precision in all aspects of service delivery;
- Commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards and integrity in all professional interactions and decisions;
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and German is essential; French and Italian are advantages.
