What you will move with us
- Under senior medical supervision, you will manage a ward with corresponding admission, care throughout the entire course, and planning of discharge with documentation and reporting for inpatient patients; in particular, also indication of diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
- You independently conduct ward rounds and assist in creating therapy plans
- You perform or interpret various examinations (depending on training level independently or under supervision), especially stress tests, punctures, ECGs, lung function tests, nocturnal screening examinations, conventional chest X-rays, simple sonographic assessments, point of care laboratory tests, and more
- You guide the junior assistants in professional topics
- You actively participate in interdisciplinary teams as well as in medical diagnostics
- You take part in the medical internal on-call service of the clinic

- with your completed medical studies and, for foreign diplomas, direct or indirect recognition of the medical diploma by the Medical Commission (MEBEKO)
- if your future plans include further training to become a specialist in General Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Pneumology including the qualification certificate in Sleep Medicine or Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, or if you want to complete a foreign year in General Internal Medicine including the qualification certificate in Psychosomatic Medicine
- with your very good German skills in spoken and written form (native German speaker or language level according to the European Framework of Reference at least C1)

Barmelweid is the leading specialist and rehabilitation clinic in Northwestern Switzerland and the largest psychosomatic clinic in Switzerland. The clinic has 285 beds, with the Department of Internal Medicine caring for patients in around 180 beds. The clinic specializes in geriatric, internal, cardiovascular, and pulmonary rehabilitation as well as sleep medicine. The Department of Internal Medicine works closely with Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy, enabling offerings such as psychocardiology or the long-COVID program.
Barmelweid employs over 750 staff. It is located at about 800 meters altitude on a clearing in the Aargau Jura and is embedded in a unique environment with a nature park
