The EOC, the multisite hospital of Ticino, is present with its institutes throughout the entire cantonal territory for a total of 1,000 beds. The organization effectively combines a local approach with an overall vision, guaranteeing the population a comprehensive and nearby hospital offer, regardless of where the services are requested.
Thanks to the commitment and competence of over 6,500 collaborators and their attention to human relations, the EOC ensures quality healthcare by caring for over 41,000 inpatients annually and providing over 600,000 outpatient consultations.
The Institute of Integrated Diagnostics of Italian Switzerland (IDISI) brings together the Clinics of radiology, nuclear medicine, pathology, and laboratory medicine and, with its approximately 600 collaborators and nearly 4 million exams and analyses performed each year, offers a complete and high-quality diagnostic service, meeting the needs of patients residing throughout the cantonal territory.
Furthermore, the Institute is oriented towards university teaching and the promotion of biomedical research.
Overcoming traditional specialist barriers, IDISI adopts a multidisciplinary approach to promote more efficient and personalized diagnostic-therapeutic pathways, capable of specifically responding to the particular needs of each patient.
The Nuclear Medicine Clinic performs about 8,000 diagnostic and therapeutic exams annually, covering almost all services available in the field of nuclear medicine. Among the various recognitions obtained, the Clinic is accredited by the European body UEMS/EBNM for clinical and training activities.
To develop its organization, the EOC Nuclear Medicine Clinic is looking for a
Head Physician (100%)
The candidate will work transversally between the two sites of the EOC Nuclear Medicine Clinic (Bellinzona and Lugano), according to the Service's needs.
Necessary requirements:
- degree/diploma in medicine and specialization in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent title and related registration with MedReg before starting work activities
- for doctors with foreign titles, recognition by the Federal Commission for Medical Professions MEBEKO and registration with MedReg are mandatory, including language skills in one or more official Swiss languages (Italian, German, and French)
- proven knowledge of the Italian language (from B2 level to native)
- complete training and experience in Nuclear Medicine preferably in a university or public hospital
- an interest and proven experience in SPECT/CT and PET/CT imaging procedures (with a focus on nuclear cardiology and oncology) is a preferential qualification
- availability to supervise nuclear medicine assistant doctors and scholarship doctors in line with the activities of the Clinic's postgraduate training center
- strong relational, communication, and teamwork skills, initiative, flexibility, and a positive attitude oriented towards achieving the Clinic's objectives.
- organizational skills and predisposition to interdisciplinary collaboration.
