Welcome to the fascinating world of taxes! The cantonal tax office, together with the municipal tax offices, collects taxes for the federal government, the canton, and the municipalities. We support private individuals and companies throughout the entire tax collection process. Around 800 qualified employees are committed to this at the location in Zurich Altstetten.
For our Debt Collection team in the Tax Collection department, we are looking for the right reinforcement starting 01.02.2026 or by arrangement.
Your tasks
- Initiate and monitor debt enforcement actions according to the Swiss Debt Enforcement and Bankruptcy Act (SchKG) for all tax claims and loss certificates assigned to the cantonal tax office
- Manage and process bankruptcy and liquidation cases
- Prepare applications for legal opening and realization
- Review incoming deferral and installment payment requests
- Perform control tasks
- Telephone and written contact with taxpayers, authorities, and other contacts
Your profile
- Commercial basic training
- Experience in debt collection, debt enforcement, or bankruptcy
- Willingness to take responsibility and learn new things
- Independent and structured way of working
- Open, humorous, and team-oriented personality
- Good communication skills and confident German
