Work educators in the work operation of Zurich West Prison 100%
Justice Enforcement and Reintegration (JuWe) is part of the Directorate of Justice and the Interior of the Canton of Zurich and is responsible for criminal and measure enforcement as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For our 1,400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of offenders, the prevention of recidivism, and the detention and preparation of the departure of persons without a valid residence permit are of particular importance.
As one of the seven main departments of JuWe, the Zurich remand prisons (UGZ) currently operate six prisons for pre-trial and security detention. On the site of the former freight yard in Zurich Aussersihl-Hard, the Zurich West Prison (GZW) was created with the construction of the Police and Justice Center Zurich (PJZ). We have around 240 detention places for provisional arrest and pre-trial detention.
To strengthen and expand our work operation in pre-trial detention, we are looking for motivated individuals to start immediately or by arrangement.
