Job description
The La Plaine Residence is part of the Mandement EMS and houses 92 residents. We support people of AVS age who have lost autonomy and sometimes suffer from psychological or psychiatric disorders. Our philosophy is based on multidisciplinary collaboration.
As such, we are looking for a health assistant on a permanent contract at 80%.
Your mission:
- Ensure the support of residents taking into account individual needs
- Meet their needs while considering the organization of the institution
- Apply care delegated by nurses
- Observe and assess the physical and mental capacities of the resident
- Guide, support, stimulate the resident according to defined care objectives
- Inform in writing and orally all useful information
- Collaborate with colleagues and other services of the institution
- Take an active part in team meetings through observations
Profile sought
- Your profile:
- Red Cross health assistant certificate
- Experience in EMS
- Experience in psycho-geriatrics
- Genuine interest and aptitude for supporting the elderly and for teamwork, with confirmed experience in geriatrics/psychogeriatrics and/or palliative care
- Ability to collaborate on interdisciplinary projects
- Autonomy, rigor, sense of organization, priorities and responsibilities, flexibility, creativity, stress resistance
- Good interpersonal skills with residents and relatives
- Dynamism, flexibility, open-mindedness and ability to promote change
- Perfect command of French (written and spoken)
- Mastery of the computerized resident file SADIES (DIR).
