The Office for Information Technology (AFI) is the IT competence center of the Canton of Zurich. It provides comprehensive services in the area of central IT infrastructure and canton-wide applications for directorates, authorities, the judiciary, and independent institutions. Commissioned with the implementation of the new Information and Communication Technology (ICT) strategy, the Office for Information Technology accompanies and supports the Canton of Zurich into the digital world.

To strengthen our Workplace Engineering team, we are looking for a Cloud Client Engineer for the operation and further development of the Windows client environment, starting immediately or by arrangement.

The Workplace Engineering team is responsible for the smooth operation of approximately 20,000 end devices. It is the central interface between internal service providers and end customers.

What to expect:

• Execution of client engineering tasks with a focus on the cloud area
• Assumption of technical (partial) project management
• Ensuring the operation of the central infrastructure including 2nd and 3rd level support
• Support in the setup, operation, and maintenance of private and hybrid cloud solutions (especially Microsoft Azure including collaboration tools like M365)
• Automation of installation and configuration processes and creation of relevant documentation
• Integration of specialist applications
• Close collaboration with and active coordination as well as leadership of external service providers

What you bring:

• Completed IT training with a focus on system technology
• Further training in cloud technologies and M365 as well as certification in the Azure cloud area is an advantage
• In-depth knowledge in the areas of Autopilot, Intune, Endpoint Manager, and M365
• Independent, analytical, and socially competent personality who enjoys working in a team and has a healthy assertiveness
