Voluntary Engagement with Children

We are looking for empathetic women with experience with children or families who would take care of lively or shy girls and boys in your area for 2 to 3 hours per week. You spend an afternoon weekly or every 14 days with the child and help playfully expand their German vocabulary.

You organize the meetings independently. The child gains new experiences, expands their skills, and enjoys a carefree time. Children under 4 years old are accompanied by their mother. In the shared exchange, you also support the mother.

Interested parties from the surrounding communities of Allschwil, Binningen, Frenkendorf, Liestal, Münchenstein, and Pratteln as well as Basel-Stadt can participate.

Do you enjoy and have experience in accompanying children? Or do you have your own children or grandchildren of a similar age? Your voluntary commitment lasts at least 6 months, and the responsible coordinator supports you during this time. We also offer helpful, free courses for volunteers.
