The Directorate of Economic Affairs of the Canton of Zurich (www.vd.zh.ch) oversees the Office for Labor, the Office for Economy, the Office for Mobility, as well as administratively the Zurich Transport Network (ZVV).
In the interest of employees and companies, the Office for Economy (AWI) contributes to strengthening the Zurich location. With its approximately 100 employees, AWI bundles economic competencies and houses the areas of location promotion, work permits, labor relations, labor inspection, and economics as well as the staff.
The labor relations area is active in implementing accompanying measures. Wage and undeclared work controls are carried out, compliance with the reporting obligation is checked, the Posted Workers Act is enforced, the Federal Act on Measures to Combat Undeclared Work is implemented, and the labor market is monitored regarding compliance with local, professional, and industry-standard wages. The offices of the Tripartite Commission of the Canton of Zurich (TPK) as well as the conciliation office are also located in this area.
To strengthen the existing team at the Zurich Vulkanstrasse location, we are looking for a new team member in the registration procedure as of 01.01.2026.
Your tasks:
- Processing notifications for employment of EU/EFTA nationals as well as recognized refugees and provisionally admitted persons
- Independent execution of administrative procedures according to the Posted Workers Act and the Foreigners and Integration Act
- Providing written and telephone information on questions related to the registration procedure
Your profile:
- Completed 3-year commercial vocational training as well as several years of professional experience with demanding case processing
- Enforcement experience is an advantage
- Confident oral and written expression in German and English is required, additional foreign language skills are an advantage
- Very proficient MS Office user skills
- Very good organizational and administrative skills
- Interest in working in a political administrative context
