The Government of the Canton of Grisons is looking for a member of the Bank Council of the Cantonal Bank of Grisons for April 1, 2026.
Responsibilities
As a member of the Bank Council – the supreme body of BCG composed of seven members – you are responsible for the strategic management of the Bank. You will be particularly responsible for the following tasks:
- establishing the principles of corporate strategy and the framework of business activities;
- approving risk policy and supervising risk management and compliance with regulatory obligations;
- appointing members of management and supervising them as well as the person responsible for internal audit and the Chief Risk Officer;
- responsibility for salary and personnel policy;
- controlling and approving the annual accounts, budget, and use of profits;
- other tasks according to federal law and the BCG law.
What we expect from you
You have solid expertise and experience in the banking and financial sector, ideally in financial market law, banking supervision, regulatory environment, compliance, and corporate governance.
Additionally, you have extensive legal experience, solid expertise in the banking sector, and ideally proven experience in the strategic management of publicly traded companies.
The following characteristics complete your profile:
- analytical skills and entrepreneurial spirit;
- ability to work in a team and enjoy trust-based collaboration within a collegial body;
- identification with the corporate culture, the owner’s objectives, and the strategic goals of the Cantonal Bank of Grisons;
- good knowledge of the political, economic, and social situation of the Canton of Grisons is an advantage;
- availability of time.
