We are looking for an immediate or agreed start date for a
Head of Operations Technology 100% (m/f/d)
Objective of the position:
- Ensuring the mechanical and electrical operational capability of all existing and newly acquired systems and equipment while complying with all legal and operational regulations (including safety, quality, conformity, etc.)
- Organization and execution of planned and unplanned maintenance on systems and buildings
- Continuous improvement of system and machine efficiencies and cost reduction through the application of appropriate TPM/WCM/6 Sigma techniques and tools
- Planning and execution of new installations and modifications of systems and infrastructures
- Guidance of system operators/team leaders in autonomous maintenance activities (e.g., cleaning, inspection, lubrication)
Main tasks:
- Knowledge and application of applicable legal and operational regulations regarding (machine/system) safety, (food/CE) conformity, quality, hygiene
- Compliance with operational requirements for hygiene, product quality, food safety, occupational safety, and environment
- Creation and implementation of maintenance plans
- Planning and adherence to maintenance and project budgets
- Administration and optimization of technical documentation of machines and systems
- Conducting root cause analyses of breakdowns and malfunctions, with consistent improvement measures
- Further development of production and logistics colleagues in autonomous maintenance
- Organization or execution of required inspections and calibrations (e.g., thermography, safety elements, PT probe)
- Coordination of procurement, installation, and commissioning of new systems and machines
- Execution and management of technical projects
- Supervision of external companies and external specialists
- Approval of electrical installations
- Contact person for electrical safety (ESTI) (operational electrician permit Article 13)
- Management of electrical stock parts
Requirements profile:
- Mandatory training as a technician in the field of mechatronics/automation technology (HF/FH)
- Practical experience in personnel management
- Knowledge and practical experience of continuous improvement techniques based on TPM/WCM/6 Sigma
- Practical experience in project management and execution
- Experience in the food/pharmaceutical industry is an advantage
- Willingness to learn and familiarize yourself with existing and new technologies
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Analytical thinking as well as conscientious and precise working methods
- Organizational skills, high personal responsibility, perseverance, and resilience
- Hands-on mentality (enjoyment of contact with technology and production)
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Good knowledge of the German language (English is an advantage)
- Programming experience with Siemens S7 PLC, TIA Portal is an advantage
