Your new role

Do you want to shape, drive digital transformation and promote eGovernment projects instead of managing? Then you are welcome with us. You take over the leadership and development of the Innovation + Transformation department. Together with your two teams "Projects" and "ICT Security and Architecture" you further expand close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders. You drive the expansion of the service portfolio, accompany projects from planning through tenders to successful completion. In addition, you and your team ensure efficient process support for municipal departments and support them with targeted training offers. You actively drive transformation initiatives, ensure their quality and continuously measure success. Managing project controlling, creating status reports and ensuring achievement of results are also part of your tasks. Additionally, you are responsible for strategic ICT security and architecture, develop and promote city-wide security awareness, the ISMS, maintain the very high ISO 27001 standards and steer the technology architecture together with the specialists into the future.

You bring with you

• several years of professional experience in an ICT leadership, coordination or transformation position
• several years of experience in an ICT operations organization
• proven track record in innovative transformation projects (e.g. Cloud/M365, AI, robotics, automation, BPMS, business transformation)
• practical knowledge in project and project portfolio management
• an independent, structured, solution- and result-oriented personality who enjoys working in a team and has a confident handling of complex issues and contexts
• networked thinking as well as the talent to win over others through your integrative, motivating and empathetic personality
• the ability to present complex content appropriately and convincingly

Our operation

As IT services, we support around 3,600 users in the St.Gallen city administration, technical operations and municipal schools with a reliable ICT infrastructure and modern IT services. We are responsible for a total of around 5,600 computers, 1,900 managed smartphones and tablets, 230 specific specialist applications, 800 software packages, 400 servers, 1,000 databases and 600 TB of data storage at over 200 locations. We have been successfully ISO 27001 certified since 2012.
