About the job

The Department of Aging and Care of the City of Winterthur offers a diverse range of services for the population of the City of Winterthur in the five retirement homes as well as with Spitex. For the restaurant "oh' parc" and the dining hall in the Brühlgut Retirement Home, where around 100 residents, employees, and guests are served daily, we are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible personality - also suitable for a returnee - starting March 1, 2026.

Your Tasks

Serving meals to around 75 residents in the dining hall

Advising and supporting residents with gastronomic concerns

Serving guests and employees in the restaurant

Preparing the mise en place

Assisting with special events (e.g., aperitifs, banquets, etc.)

Various cleaning tasks to maintain hygiene and quality standards

Your Profile

Several years of professional experience in the field

Certified restaurant specialist EFZ, or restaurant employee EBA is an advantage

Experienced handling of cash registers and IT user knowledge (MS Office). Knowledge of Sanalogic and Lobos is an advantage

Very good German skills in spoken and written form as well as effortless understanding of Swiss German

Willingness to work various shifts (between 6:45 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.) as well as assignments on weekends and public holidays
