Specialist Asylum 80 - 100%The Migration Office of the Canton of Zurich operates daily in the exciting political environment of all migration issues and the resulting tasks. It is responsible for the enforcement of Swiss foreigner and asylum law, the agreement on the free movement of persons between Switzerland and the EU and EFTA states, as well as the Schengen and Dublin agreements.
For the Asylum & Enforcement department, we are looking for a Specialist Asylum 80 - 100% starting February 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Within the framework of the applicable regulations, you are responsible for processing various applications from provisionally admitted persons, persons in the asylum procedure, and persons with protection status S. Your tasks include, among others, writing decisions, statements, and orders, issuing foreigner permits, handling administrative work in the asylum area, and processing hardship cases.
For this demanding and versatile role, we require at least a commercial education (commercial clerk EFZ) and several years of professional experience or a bachelor's degree. You are skilled in written expression and interested in legal issues as well as in the structured drafting of complex decisions and demanding correspondence. At the same time, you also enjoy performing administrative tasks. Furthermore, you convince with flexibility, high resilience, and independence. Pleasant manners, a sense of collegial cooperation, and a touch of humor complete your profile. In addition, you hold Swiss citizenship.
